NEW SPRING BREAK CAMP!                            ONE WEEK INTENSIVE MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP (class code CS2)            

For ages 8 to 16 years.  Fast.  Fun! This program packs a lot in one week!  Just like our hugely popular Summer One Week Intensive Camp, students rehearse the musical Disney’s  Aladdin, Kids with minimal sets and costumes. Camp meets Monday - Friday from 9:30 to 3:30 the week of TCAPS spring break, March 27-31 with performances on April 1st.  Space is limited, registration begins January 1st.                                     Tuition: $195

STORY BOOKS TO LIFE

For ages 5 to 6. This exciting class takes make-believe to the next level! Lessons focus on the child’s innate desire to pretend and cultivates them into true acting skills. Communication skills are also enhanced with the use of dramatic play, movement and music. Mondays 4:30 - 5:30pm, April 10- May 15.                    Tuition: $75

INTRO TO ACTING & THEATRE
(class code BC2)                 Denni Don Hunting
For ages 7 to 8.  This beginning class focuses on stage vocabulary, character study, scene work, vocal work and improvisation. Theatre games are used to teach and reinforce lessons. There will be a short presentation at the end of the course. Class meets Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30, April 12 - May 17. Tuition: $75

SINGING FOR MUSICAL THEATRE
(class code BW1) Matt Archibald
For ages 8 to 13. This course is for students who wish to develop a basic knowledge of singing.  We focus on the acting aspect of song preparation, including presentation and general vocal coaching. This class is part of the Broadway Junior program and fulfills the singing prerequisite for the Fall musical. Tuesdays 4:30 to 6:00, April 11 - May 16. Tuition: $95

ACT UP, ACT BIG
(class code BW2) Denni Don Hunting
For ages 9 to 13. Larger-than-life characters are par for the course in musical theatre!  Training for this class includes how to have a strong stage presence and how to be loud without injuring your voice.  Comic timing and improvisation are also covered.  This class is part of the Broadway Junior program and fulfills the acting prerequisite for the Fall musical. Mondays 4:30 to 6:00, April 10 -  May 15.         Tuition: $95

BECOMING AN ACTOR
(class code BC3) Staff          For ages 9 to 13 years. The job of the actor is to analyze the script for action and then truthfully act out the scene. We focus on acting technique and the tools an actor uses for the stage; character development, rote memorization of the script, and playing off/reacting to fellow actors in the scene.  At the end of the course, students will present short scenes highlighting these techniques. Tuesdays 4:30 to 6:00, April 11 - May 16. Tuition: $95

INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE

For ages 9 to 13.  This class works on the staging and choreography for a “set piece” from musical theatre.  The material is selected from a popular Broadway show with minimal costumes and scenic items.  There will be a presentation on the final class day. This class is part of the Broadway Junior program and can be used to fulfill the dance prerequisite for the fall Young Company musical.  Class meets Saturdays  11:00 - 12:30, April 8 - May 20.  No class April 15.                  Tuition: $95

MUSICAL THEATRE II
(class code BW4) Melissa May
For ages 9 to 13.  This class is a continuation of the Intro to Musical Theatre class and will build on techniques introduced there.  Broadway show combinations will be slightly more complex and sustained with minimal costumes and scenic items.   There will be a presentation on the final class day. This class is part of the Broadway Junior program and can be used to fulfill the dance prerequisite for the fall Young Company musical.  Students should have taken Intro to Musical Theatre or have commensurate experience.  Class meets Saturdays  1:00 - 2:30, April 8 - May 20.  No class April 15.  Tuition: $95

VOICE ACTING
(class code BC4)  Harold Kranick     For ages 12 and up. An exciting way to discover if Voice Acting is for you!  Taught by local performer and Specs Howard School of Media Arts graduate Harold Kranick.  This class will teach students the importance of proper voice techniques by expanding their vocal range while writing, reading and performing radio ads and curtain warmers.  This new class provides exciting and challenging work for students 12 and up who are eager to make their voice heard!  Fridays 4:30 - 5:30, April 7 to May 19.  No class April 14th.   Tuition: $75

STAGE COMBAT 
(class code BC4) Geoffrey Wallace
For ages 12 and up. This exciting new class will introduce students to a variety of stage weapons and fighting techniques.  No experience required but students with stage fighting experience will be able to take their moves to the next level. Be the first to break in our new weaponry from Combat Ready Art!  Repertory Company members are encouraged to  enroll in this class to complement their Shakespeare training.  Fridays 4:00 - 6:00pm, April 7- May 19.  No class April 14th.                              Tuition: $125
