Summer Camps and Workshops for 2022

Young Company's Summer Session of Performing Arts Camps & Workshops sees the return of our popular performance arts camps. Registration begins Tuesday, March 1st

Our Summer Performing Arts Camp returns this summer for a wild and wacky production of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR, and in August our 1-Week Musical Theatre Intensive's will perform Disney's Winnie the Pooh, Kids!

Young Company strives to create a safe, in-person, theatrical experience by maintaining social distancing, mask wearing, and limiting class sizes in addition to our newly upgraded HVAC system that includes air purification.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS

INTRO TO THEATRE WORKSHOPS

For ages 5 to 8 years. 4 one-week sessions of morning workshops for students ages 5-8. Each workshop runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 - 12pm (noon). Students may sign up for multiple weeks. Participants spend each day learning about a different aspect of the theatre from acting and costumes to lighting, sound and scenery. A presentation based on weekly themes is held at the end of the Friday session for friends and family.

For the younger actor, these workshops will run concurrently with our Summer Performing Arts Camp. Workshops meet daily, Monday through Friday for the weeks of June 27 - July 1, July 4 - 8 (July 5 will be an afternoon session), July 11 - 15, and July 18 - 22.

ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP

For ages 12 to 20 years. Serious. Fun. This annual musical revue featuring the best of Broadway has become an audience favorite. Featuring a small but elite cast of yound adults, the talented SHOWSTOPPERS ensemble will sing and dance their way into your hearts.

ENTRY BY AUDITION ONLY. Auditions July 5 & 6 / Performances TBA

For ages 9 to 16 years. Our intensive schedule of classes is designed to educate and stimulate that aspiring young actor in your family. Our program includes Acting, Dance, Singing, Improvisation, Stage Combat, Shakespeare and Shop. The program concludes with performances of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, JR. Camp meets Mon through Fri from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, June 27 through July 22. Performances July 22 & 23.

ONE WEEK INTENSIVE MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

For ages 8 to 16 years. Fast! Fun! This program packs a lot in just one week! Students rehearse the musical Disney's Winnie the Pooh, Kids with minimal sets and costumes. Camp meets Monday - Friday from 9:30 to 3:30 the week of Aug 8 - 12 with a performance on Aug 13. The second session runs Aug 15 - 19 with a performance on Aug 20. A third session is scheduled for Aug 22 - 26 with a performance on Aug 27.
