Signup Genius

Ushers, Concessions, and House Managers register to work shifts using Signup Genius, an online platform for managing volunteers. Here are procedures for creating an account and signing up.

Create an Account

Do this if you have not used Signup Genius before.

1. Visit signupgenius.com.
2. Click Log In. The login page appears.
3. Click New account. The registration page appears.
4. Fill in the form and click Register Now. You will get an email from Signup Genius to verify the email address you provided, and another form may appear with a Welcome message.
5. Click the X in the upper right corner to close the Welcome form.
6. Open the email from Signup Genius and click the Activate Your Account link. A Registration Complete page appears.
7. Click Continue to My Account. The Welcome form reappears.
8. On the Welcome form, enter Old Town Playhouse in the Organization box (or anything at all in the form), then click Continue.
9. A box reading something like You're all set! appears. Click the X in the upper right corner to close this box.

Find an Event

Once you have a Signup Genius account, you can sign yourself up for volunteer shifts at OTP. Here's how:

1. Log in to Signup Genius with your account.
2. Click the magnifying glass to search for signups (you have to visit the hamburger button - three lines - on mobile devices).
3. The email address that you need to search for is pbrace@chartermi.net. If you're successful, you'll see the signups that are currently available.
4. Click a signup to see available shifts, then check the box next to a shift at which you wish to work.

If all that is too confusing, just send an email to tickets@oldtownplayhouse.com and let the Box Office know when you would like to volunteer. We can sign you up in Signup Genius.
