Brauer to Screen New Movie at OTP
Rich Brauer will screen his new movie, The DJ on Wallaker Hill at Old Town Playhouse on Saturday, February 10, 2024, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
The movie was shot mostly during a raging winter February 2023 blizzard in northern Michigan. Interior filming was on a set built to replicate a 1963 AM Radio station. The set was constructed by nine students from the CONSTRUCTION TRADES curriculum at the Northwest Education Services Career Tech. “Giving students the chance to work on different aspects of film production is a critical part of our normal protocol" says writer/director Rich Brauer. “We also had four students from their FILM AND NEW MEDIA department on set during filming to assist our professional crew. Mentoring was everywhere!”
OTP regulars will see some familiar faces among the cast and crew.
