Cast Deputy

The goal of the Cast Deputy is to create a confidential and peer-level reporting channel between participants in the production. Communicating concerns can be challenging. Participants often have long-standing relationships, aspirations for future collaborations, or a fear of being labeled “difficult.” Any of these might dissuade a participant from voicing a concern. A member of the cast themselves, the Cast Deputy can help to alleviate this tension. They serve as a reporting channel for a volunteer when confidentiality is required or requested, and may also serve as a first contact when a concern cannot be resolved by an individual. The Cast Deputy will be selected by the CAST ONLY, through nomination and secret ballot. The nominee must be willing to act in this role. The selection of the Cast Deputy should take place at the first rehearsal.
