Concessions Coordinator
Recruits and schedules Concessions Volunteers during the run of one MainStage show. All Duties and Responsibilities described below take place only during the run of that one show.
Duties and Responsibilities
- At least two weeks before opening night, works with the Volunteer Committee to define communication paths, processes, and training requirements for Concessions Volunteers.
- At least two weeks before opening night, works with Marketing, the show’s Producer, and opening night reception volunteers to determine themed concessions offerings, if any.
- Prior to their first show as Coordinator in a season, works with the Box Office Manager to understand cash and credit card payment processes.
- Provides training to Concessions Volunteers prior to their shifts as needed.
- Recruits, incents, and cajoles Concessions Volunteers to staff concessions at each performance during the run.
- Notifies the Box Office Manager at least 36 hours before a performance if concessions is not expected to be staffed at that performance (so they can notify patrons).
- Keeps general inventory of concessions offerings and ensures that concessions offerings are adequately stocked prior to each weekend’s performances, working with office staff for payment/pickup.

- You will be treated with respect and dignity by all production staff, administration and other volunteers, and we expect the same from you.
- You do not need to attend every performance, and your Duties and Responsibilities can be performed when they best fit your schedule.
