ATP Performance at the Traverse City Senior Center

Senior Center/ATP Collaboration August 26, 2025

Aged to Perfection (ATP) was happy to collaborate with the Grand Traverse Senior Center this August. ATP was also invited to participate in the Center’s Travel Show on August14th to promote OTP and ATP.

ATP presented an evening of one acts featuring Only on Pizza by Linda LaRoque for the Center’s Summer Party Night held on August 21. Working with the Center, ATP performers and marketing team went all out to build an eventful dinner performance. The Center had decided to host its very own “pizza party”, and for the $5 registration fee attendees were able to have pizza, a beverage and then enjoy the humorous plays performed by 13 ATP members.

There was a good response for the event. Even though attendance was capped at 100 seniors and their guests, the final turnout was even more in attendance.

The Paul & Jody excerpt from Only on Pizza was adapted for the performance by Margaret Anne Slawson & Mike Spry. The conversation between characters Paul & Jody moved along for over 70 minutes to encompass a total of four separate plays: Mirror, Mirror by Bruce Kane directed by Joan Panter, Mere Mortals by David Ives & Family Names by Edna Pelonero both directed by Karen McCosky, and the “Holiday Inn” excerpt from Only on Pizza directed by Margaret Anne Slawson.

The partnership between Kelly Justin, the Senior Center Marketing & Events Specialist, and the ATP Steering Committee made it all happen so that it came off as a successful and memorable event. ATP and OTP are now in discussions to create an ongoing partnership for future performances.
