In the twilight weeks of World War II, Harriet Jablonski, mother of First Lieutenant Morgan Jablonski, anxiously awaits word of her only son, declared ‘missing in action’ during the Battle of the Bulge. Sharing her small cottage alongside Lake Charlevoix in Horton Bay is Morgan’s young wife, Mariam. While each woman struggles to confront broken dreams and foreboding tomorrows, they wait passionately for Morgan‘s arrival, each choosing different ways to endure their pain, and moving steadily and unknowingly to a unimaginable resolution.
