Nearing 40 and still a starving artist, Matt Liebowitz struggles with a recent separation from his wife, his floundering writing career and the inertia which has lead him to juggling pizza making and waiting tables with receiving rejection notices from publishers.When his widowed and grieving father Howard stays with him for a few weeks, Matt sees his father in a new light and must address his own fears. Supported and challenged by his flamboyant upstairs neighbor, his taciturn brother and bossy sister-in-law, and his earnest wife, Matt must decide what he values and what he will fight to keep.
