Grand Old Town Opry!

In true Grand Ole Opry style, Old Town Playhouse will envision Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium for a nostalgic walk down Country Music lane. The rhinestone cowboys will ride again as Doc and Donna Probes make their third appearance at the Playhouse along with a full Opry Band and special guests, Dolly Pardon, Johnny Bash, Millie Pearl, and special guest, Judy Harrison as Patsy Cline.  The evening of fun and humor will also include fiddles, dulcimers, cloggers and old Grandpa Jones on the banjo will fill the house for two unforgettable shows.  .

Grand Old Town Opry

Take a walk down memory lane as a gathering of musicians and dancers relive the magic of Nashville’s Grand Old Opry.  The Grand Old Town Opry Band will feature Doc and Donna Probes (of Peter, Paul & Mary Remembered fame), along with Jim “Dags” Dagwell on drums, Andy Evans on bass and Rick Willey on fiddle.  Kelly Wagner of the Cherry Blossom Ramblers Family Band will be a featured vocalist. 

The spirits of Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Minnie Pearl will be brought to life by talented members of the Old Town Playhouse family.  Inger Jay, Jackie Richer and Dave Goodwin will liven up the show with old-time traditional clog dancing.  Grandpa Jones will be played by banjo picker Jim Foerch (of Blue Water Ramblers fame).  The Happy Tappers will be on hand along with special pre-show and intermission segments highlighting the hammered dulcimer group called HAMMER’D.  Judy Harrison’s touching tribute to Patsy Cline will complete this unforgettable show. 

Reserved Seating: $25 in advance; $30 at the door.  Tickets can be purchased by phone at 231-947-2210, online at www.oldtownplayhouse.com, or in person at the OTP Box Office. A cash bar will open at 6:30.
