The Who's Tommy

Book By Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff
Music By Pete Townshend

Directed By Sara Hartley

50 years ago, on May 26th, 1969, Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend with the other members of The Who unleashed a Rock Revolution and the first Rock Opera - TOMMY!
Set in post-World War II England, we meet young Tommy who, after witnessing the accidental murder of his mother’s lover by his father, is so traumatized that he loses his ability to speak or to care about life. Things turn around for Tommy when he falls in love with pinball. He becomes such an expert at the game that he rises to the stature of an international superstar and inspires youth around the world. This rock musical is based on The Who’s 1969 rock opera, Tommy.
