We are pleased to announce our 2019-2020 season for the Old Town Playhouse's Main Stage and Studio Theatre. This season, on the Main Stage, we promise something for everyone with a classic comedy: Oscar Wilde's, The Importance of Being Earnest; a holiday romp: Elf: The Musical; a thought-provoking award-winner: Paula Vogel, Indecent (pending rights); a balanced and beautiful drama: Lauren Gunderson's Silent Sky (pending rights); and a slam bang finish Kander & Ebb's jazzy Chicago

At the Studio Theatre this season we continue to shake things up with a dark comedy: Rajiv Joseph's Describe the Night (pending rights), a touch of nostalgia: Nora & Delia Ephron's Love, Loss and What I Wore (pending rights), our first Studio Theater musical: [title of show] (pending rights) , and the highly acclaimed sequel to Ibsen’s masterwork: A Doll House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath (rights pending).

Applications to direct one of these amazing titles can be found here. Applications are due March 30th. The Artistic Committee will set up interviews for early April.

If you have any questions about the shows or our process, please reach out to the Artistic Committee Chair, Nick Viox at
