Located just three blocks
from downtown Traverse City, Old Town Playhouse is housed in a three-story turn of the century former church. Performance areas include a 358-seat mainstage auditorium and an 80-seat studio theatre.
The playhouse also houses numerous support spaces including a business office, box office, conference room, multipurpose/rehearsal room, wood shop/set construction area, green room, properties room, two make-up rooms, costume construction area, two costume storage rooms and a properties storage room. In addition, an off-site warehouse stores furniture, sets and large props. The facility underwent a major $400,000 renovation in 1997-98.
