Life in a Pond
A co-production with the Great Lakes Children’s MuseumGrand Traverse Children's Museum. This encore presentation is a school-touring play about the ecology of pond life. There will be one public performance on April 14 at 11:00 AM at the Traverse Area District Library (610 Woodmere, Traverse City). Admission is free but donations will be most welcome. This play is best suited for ages 8 and up

The Merchant of Venice
Directed by Laura Mittelstaedt
Set in the teeming, multi-ethnic marketplace of 16th-century Venice, Shakespeare's sprawling comic masterpiece confronts the best and worst of human qualities - tolerance and bigotry, charity and greed - in a story filled with dramatic intrigue, high farce, and sublime poetry. This school-touring production will visit many area schools but there will also be a special OTP performances for the public on May 26 at 7:00 PM. All tickets are $6. This play is best suited for ages 12 and up.
Alice in Wonderland

Alice is dreamily ignoring a lesson when she is surprised to see a white rabbit, running briskly and looking at his pocket watch. She pursues him and falls down a rabbit hole, entering a magic land where she encounters a number of crazy characters. Performances June 15 at 7:00 PM, June 16 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets are $4 for kids, $8 for teens & adults. This play is suitable for all ages.
Pinocchio

Adventures with Pinocchio (a musical)

When Geppetto carves a wooden puppet which magically springs to life, the old toy maker is thrilled by the prospect of having a real son. But the innocent Pinocchio needs to learn so many things, and he learns them all the hard way! Performances are July 20 at 7:00 PM, July 21 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets are $4 for kids, $8 for teens & adults. This play is suitable for all ages.
EnnystimonIntrigue, Love, Treachery, Greed, Murder, Kindness, Revenge and just a dash of Poison! All these can be found in this tragic story of Tudor era Ireland which will be presented by TCCT’s advanced teen students (The Bedlam Theatre Players). Studio performances August 3 and 4 at 7:00 PM. All tickets are $6. This play is best suited for teen and adult audiences.
Mr. Anemone Under the Sea

(a musical) Directed by Denni Don Hunting and written and composed by Ken McKay. A young group of beach goers discovers a strange talking clam who leads them on a merry chase under the sea. The chase leads the youngsters to an under sea house inhabited by the eccentric Mr. Anemone. Presented by some of our youngest of musical theatre students! Performance August 11 at 2:00 PM. Running time is about 20 minutes. All tickets are $3. This play is best suited for very young audiences.
Velveteen Rabbit

The Velveteen Rabbit (a musical)
Based on Margery Williams' classic story of a stuffed toy rabbit made real by a boy's enduring. This adaptation captures all the tenderness and magic of the original story and adds some beautiful songs. Audiences will laugh at the antics of the living rabbits and cry when the Velveteen Rabbit lies discarded in the rubbish heap. But most of all, everyone will be moved when the little boy announces his Velveteen Rabbit is real, and the Nursery Magic Fairy turns this love into a miracle. Performances August 18 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets are $4 for kids, $8 for teens and adults. This play is suitable for all ages.
Ms. Courageous

Elizabeth Blackwell was the first woman in the US to become a doctor with a medical degree; Marie Curie won two Nobel prizes for her work in physics and chemistry. These women are the subject of this two-part narrative that explores the difficulties and challenges of being accepted in traditionally male fields. This school-touring production will visit many area schools but there will be one public performance on November 10 at 11:00 AM at the Traverse Area District Library (610 Woodmere, Traverse City). Admission is free but donations will be most welcome. This play is best suited for ages 8 and up.
Headless Horseman
Ichabod Crane, an awkward but likeable schoolmaster, has packed up his meager belongings and moved to Sleepy Hollow in quest to become a kept man. The quaint community, however, comes with a host of superstitious townsfolk believing they have a graveyard beset with ghastly ghouls, including the venerable Headless Horseman. Studio performances November 12 & 13 at 7:00 PM. All tickets are $6. This play is best suited for ages 10 and up.


For its 2007 Li’l Broadway Production, TCCT is proud to present

MulanBased on the 1998 Disney film MULAN and the story FA MULAN by Robert D. San Souci. Travel back to the legendary, story-telling days of ancient China with this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney’s Mulan. Mulan JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit. The score includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” as well as new songs that will get audiences up on its feet! Performing December 7 and 8 at 7:00 PM, December 9 at 2:00 PM and again on December 14 and 15 at 7:00 PM and a final performance December 16 at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices to be announced. This play is suitable for all ages.
